Once the trilogy had been penned, I had already written a children's book (to be printed) and had 3 novels on the go but had , and still have a bit of a block! However, one rather wet summer's day when my two granddaughters, Abbi and Eliza, were both with me, we took off to the park.
Having had our fun, we began to walk home, Eliza jumping on every mole hill she could find. The bigger, the better. Abbi stopped, and looked at me, saying wouldn't it be funny if she fell right through? To what? I asked, well she'd be a mole, and it would be a whole new world. Imagine grandma a world down there just like this but full of moles.
There 'Mollie the Mole' was born. So thank you to Eliza for providing inspiration and Abbi for going through every page with me to create this beautiful book.
